Yes, but if they started hearing information they don't hear anywhere else, that will change. When people hear what I've compiled, word of mouth will go viral. Let all young women hear the vaccine debates. Let the pro-pharma people come out and debate it in public. All I get are idiots that say, the Rockefeller funded ACIP says they're safe. They literally refuse to debate, which is a sign of lack of information and confidence. That will change after a few weeks of WTPR If they heard us talking about how we can do better than 90 year old idiots voting on crypto and digital id when they don't even know how to turn their phone off.
The Public Airwaves have been co-opted. It's time to take them back. Think you don't have the skills- possibly, but your teenager does. When your computer freezes, who do you call? There you go.
The cost: that old computer in the attic. I had it running on a very old linux running ubuntu 13 because anything newer wouldn't load. But it plays music just fine.
Over 1000 pre-cut mp3s (edited for language) are ready to share with your community. Mix and match with your music.
The idea is that we don't need the syndicated crap from NPR shoved down our throats. A group of local volunteers produce a better community station, maybe not as polished, but definitely more relevant news. Because real people won't censor like the snooty douchebags on NPR.
Currently I'm having a tough time keeping up with the news, I make ~ 10 clips a day. The scripts provided are all very rough (just made up by a non-programmer) but also easily customizable.. Modifying them all the time. As it is, the news runs every 2 hours, it selects any new additions then fills out the rest to make 6 news segments.
Ideally, we would have a live DJ booth where a group could chill out, play music, and read the news segments as they come up. And of course open the phone lines. When everyone goes home for dinner, the computer keeps it rolling with automation. There is no AI, just bash scripts with if/then statements and sh!t.
There is a sample station to listen, if the first song is "too loud", please give it a few minutes. The songs are great but it's the We The People clips in between that are the real gold.
btw- we've been kicked off the local fbook group and reddit Alaska. Had hundreds of 'followers' on twitter but it's like they're all bots. Nobody will do anything proactive, such as "lets all tweet this hashtag at 2:20 and get it trending" They will 'like' the post but not repost it. How does that make any sense? It's like all the posts are "look at this bad news" and talk to the black hole. You can see all the horror, but can't do anything about it- what some would call hell.
So I started a new twitter because, "hey that guy just started last week and he's got 200k followers." So I posted my first song with a video... let's kick this off right! Got no views. lol
We clearly need a marketing expert. If we buy wtpr .com, then I'm asking you to work for us. If you buy it, then it's all yours. You can use what you want of mine, discard the rest. Ideally the WTP clips would be linked to their accounts... but the things I want to do with the website are simply beyond me and not the best use of my time.

Leave a comment anywhere on this site. Even better would be a real band to record the songs as your own and it's all yours, the lyrics are free modify as you wish (there is room for improvement).
